overview
While I use a highly-refined project management process for each client, my services and deliverables are customized to meet the needs of each unique client. Customize your monthly marketing package today!
The answer to this varies greatly, as it depends on the messaging of the brand, readiness of the website for driving traffic, budget, etc. The average timelines for most marketing strategies is 6-12 months. However, if your website is fully up-to-date, your messaging is concise, and you have a budget for paid media or consistent organic content, it can be closer to 3-6 months.
Every project is different, whether it’s the amount of services needed, company budget, or time frame. Because of this I evaluate the full scope of what you need and what I can offer to design a custom quote for you.
Typically I work with clients on a monthly retainer (i.e. social media marketing), one-time project price (i.e. for website design or product photography), or hourly (client support and implementation).
I offer hourly rates in all of my services, whether it is strategy, implementation, graphic design, or a mix of all of these. My rate starts at $60/hr with a minimum commitment of 10 hours in a 30-day period.
However, I generally recommend monthly packages as they’re easy to bundle what you need for a reduced price, more predictable for exact deliverables and cost, and most likely will save you money in the long run.
Brand strategy is the “why” of your brand and what ultimately builds a strong, lasting relationship with your target audience. It’s the strategy of who your brand is, what you stand for, who your target audience is, and how it can precisely meet the needs of your target audience in the marketplace. Brand strategy often includes elements of design and visual identity as well.
Marketing strategy is the “how” of marketing, such as deciding what channels to use, what KPIs to use for measuring success, and which tactics to implement for paid advertising, optimizing campaigns, and how to deliver new offers to your target audience.
I’m first and foremost a brand strategist who looks at the 10,000-foot view of your business. Given my extensive experience in branding, digital marketing, and business development, I have a solid understanding of how each channel supports the goals of your business as a whole, as well as hands-on experience building and optimizing campaigns in each channel.
On their own, no, I do not design logos. I do, however, include logo design in my brand identity design packages that include the full creative kit of brand assets you’d need for your business.
I know very well how lean many startups are, especially when they’re pre-revenue or early-revenue. On occasion, I will partner with new companies and work alongside the founding team for significantly reduced rates and equity in the company. If you’re interested in discussing this route, please contact me and send me some info about your startup!
Working on commission can be a tricky arrangement due to the many factors outside of marketing that can affect the ultimate results and profitability of marketing, such as poor business management, poor closing of sales on marketing leads generated, logistical issues, customer service, pre-existing website traffic and revenue, supply chain issues, the market, economy, and so on.
On occasion I will take a commission-based client that I see as a long-term investment, however I’m not taking on any more commission clients for the time being.
